The “ATOA” Experience…

What is “ATOA”?

That’s where my husband and I went
for some pre-new year’s fun!

First we had “okonomiyaki” at a new restaurant.
In Kobe City (Japan).

Then after a great lunch, and with our tummies full,
we went to “ATOA”!

ATOA is an aquarium and art museum mixed together.

It a unique experience.

Because it is also combined with lots of digital lights and
fun stuff.

And it is in Kobe City, down near the water front.

There is even a spa and exquisite food court next to ATOA.
Lots of fun to be had.

We first entered the “Underwater Room”.

And saw this:

Celebrating the one year anniversary after it’s opening.

And…

And…

And…

The Sea Horses were really special, and we spent some time
watching them, since they are a symbol of the Deaf Community
here in Japan.

So that was really super great!
And…

Then went on to the other rooms and saw many
other animals and creatures of the sea.

Then upstairs we entered the art museum…

It was a great time.
