Art under attack!

Environmental protesters at a museum in London threw soup on the painting of “sunflowers”.

The painting being a priceless work painted by Vincent Van Gogh.

If you don’t know who Vincent van Gogh is, he is the artist that cut off his ear and sent it to his girlfriend.

News of this has appeared in many places, even making the morning news here in Japan.

So…

You might ask yourself:

Why did they throw soup at the painting?

Good question.

The answer is:

Activists threw soup at a Van Gogh painting in London. They were protesting new oil and gas production.
The climate activists of “Just Stop Oil” have gained visibility since their Friday demonstration in which
protesters threw Heinz tomato soup at Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting at London’s National Gallery.

And…

On Twitter, some folks were tweeting about:

“What is worth more, art or life? … are you more concerned about the protection of a painting
or the protection of our planet and people?”

What do you think?

I think both are equally important. You can’t enjoy wonderful things like art from
the days of old without life. But…

Life itself is empty without these fantastic things to experience and make life wonderful.

So you need both.
